Description
An ethical parent-teacher relationship can positively impact a student’s success in their elementary school years and I wanted to incorporate this into my student teaching placements. In today’s technological era, there are many more opportunities for parents to be able to communicate with their student's teacher in order to help the student than in the past. If parents have access to technology to communicate with their child’s teacher, both teachers and parents should be proactive in making an effort to form an ethical relationship in order to establish an open line of communication from the start of the school year. This poster presentation highlights how implementing ethical parent-teacher relationships impacted my student teaching experience.
